Melissa Ratcliff is a dual elected official, serving in the State Assembly and on the Dane County Board. She previously served on the Cottage Grove Village Board from April, 2018, to December, 2022. Serving in both capacities at the State and County levels providers her with a better understanding of issues affecting her district. She serves as the chair of the Dane County Broadband Task Force which is working to expand access to the internet throughout our county. Additionally, she is on the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) Board, Zoning and Land Regulations, and Dane County Library Board.
Melissa was elected to the State Assembly in November, 2022, and her term goes through January 5, 2025. Melissa serves on the following committees in the State Assembly: Rural Development, Local Government, Veterans and Military Affairs, and Information Policy and Technology and Policy. She was also appointed to the Governor’s Task Force on Broadband Access.
Melissa is a Paralegal and has worked at Eisenberg Law Offices since 2000. She has a daughter who is a sophomore at Monona Grove High School and an adult son. She has two rescue dogs – a 12 year old wiener dog mix (Lucy) and an 11 year old toy poodle mix (Ricky). Melissa is an active member of her communities with the Monona Grove Education Foundation Snack Pack Club, Sun Prairie Rotary Club, Friends of the Cottage Grove Library, Friends of the Sun Prairie Library, Sun Prairie Area Historical Society, Cottage Grove Area Historical Society, Sun Prairie Chamber of Commerce, Cottage Grove Chamber of Commerce, Friends of Lake Kegonsa Society. She also enjoys volunteering with her children for the Miracle League of Dane County which is based in Cottage Grove.
