Jamie Kuhn is a long time Elvehjem neighborhood resident in Madison representing the 16th District. She ran in a special election to replace the retiring supervisor in June of 2017 and became a member of the County Board in August 2017, serving on the Public Works and Transportation Committees.
Jamie is parenting four kids in the Madison public schools with her fiancé Mike, and she is the stepmom of a UW-Madison ROTC student.
Jamie’s professional life has been dedicated to public service and social justice. She has her Masters of Social Work from UW-Madison, and she was Chief of Staff for State Senator Mark Miller for over a decade. During that time, she worked with Senator Miller on an agenda dedicated to workers’ rights, access to affordable health care, protection of public education and our natural resources. In the legislature, Jamie was committed to finding equitable solutions for families, not just in Senator Miller’s district but across our state.
After serving in the legislature, she worked in county government as a Government Affairs Director working on issues such as child welfare, transportation, and mental health services.
Currently, Jamie works for Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin as a leader on PPWI’s Public Affairs team focusing on community engagement and efforts to expand access to health care.
Jamie is honored to serve her friends, neighbors, and fellow community members, and fight with and for them on the County Board.
